Cyber Disclosure Program, policy and reporting

The Department of Training and Workforce Development is committed to protecting the information and digital services used by the people of Western Australia.

About the program

The Cyber Disclosure Program provides a structured way to identify, verify, resolve and report cyber security vulnerabilities disclosed by people inside or outside the Department. The program supports the WA Government’s cyber security requirements and helps strengthen the Department’s cyber security posture and risk management practices.

Cyber disclosure policy

The Cyber Disclosure Policy explains how security researchers can report potential vulnerabilities and what they can expect from the Department after a report is submitted. It sets out the scope of authorised testing, reporting requirements and the Department’s approach to assessing and responding to disclosures.

What the policy covers

  • which systems and types of security research are authorised for testing;
  • the principles and guidelines that apply to vulnerability disclosure activity;
  • the definition of security research and the information that should be included in a report;
  • how to report an identified cyber security vulnerability; and
  • what the Department will do after receiving a vulnerability report.
